Teacher

Requirements:

  • Education/experience - BA, BS degree in Early Childhood Education; one (1) year teaching experience and Pre-K License preferred.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for accurate record keeping, reporting, and writing.
  • Maintain flexibility, in meeting job responsibilities.
  • Show the ability to function effectively and appropriately with various community agencies, programs and professionals. Maintain a professional image while representing Head Start.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Associate Teacher

  • Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or BA, BS in related field, plus one year teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for accurate record keeping, reporting and writing.

  • Nutrition Site Aide

  • Experience- Six (6) months to one (1) year of food service related or cleaning work experience.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for accurate record keeping, reporting and writing.
  • Maintain flexibility in meeting job responsibilities.
  • Show the ability to function effectively and appropriately with various community agencies, programs and professionals. Maintain a professional image while representing Head Start.
  • Demonstrates a willingness and commitment to attend professional meetings and training.
  • Exhibit the ability to communicate and remain courteous and professional with children, parents, staff, and community members.
  • Demonstrates an ability to remain courteous and professional with children, parents, and staff at all times.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain a sincere commitment to the philosophy of Head Start and to the objectives of an early childhood intervention program.
  • Assist in preparing monthly United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) reports and record keeping as required.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of all kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in purchasing supplies, food and equipment in conjunction with the Head Cook.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment to meet Health Department standards at all times.
  • Carry out housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Work cooperatively with teachers and other site staff to assist in the planning and the implementation of nutritional experiences involving the children in the classroom.
  • Transport food and dishes to and from sites as needed.
  • Substitute at sites as needed.
  • Assist in preparing meals and snacks, meeting all nutritional requirements.
  • Abide by and assure USDA guidelines and polices are observed.
  • Respect and maintain the confidentiality of children, families and staff.
  • Bus Driver (Substitute)

    Requirements:

    • Be at least 21 years of age

    • Possess and maintain a Commercial Vehicle Driver license with bus driver’s endorsement

    • High school diploma or GED
