Your child’s health is important to his/her educational growth. Being healthy makes learning easier.

All children receive screenings for hearing, vision, blood pressure, height, weight and if needed, lead and hemoglobin while in Head Start.

Medical and dental exams are required for Head Start enrollment. Please click here if you would like a medical form or a dental form to take with you to your appointment. If you need assistance arranging your child’s medical or dental examinations please contact the Head Start office to be referred to one of our community partners or feel free to click on one of the links to access a doctors or dentists office.

Meal/snack time is an extension of learning by modeling language, conversation, social interaction and introducing new foods. The menu integrates the latest nutritional research so children are offered healthy meals/snacks.
